Sponsor-a-Child Campaign launches for October

Date posted October 1, 2021

“Kids do well if they can.” – Dr. Ross Greene

Autistic kids need extra support to “do well”. Giving them that extra support is what the Sponsor-a-Child Campaign is all about. We’re hosting our 2nd Sponsor-a-Child Campaign to raise money for our day camps, recreational programs, and art and music therapies.

Last year we raised $45,000; this year, we want to raise $60,000. Thanks to the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon‘s $15,000 matching grant, we have raised over $30,000 in corporate donations by the October 1 launch date. Thank you, Kinsmen Club!

We’re asking members and friends of Autism Services to help us by:

  • Spreading the word – telling family, friends, colleagues; sharing our Facebook posts and talking about the Campaign in your networks
  • Considering doing your own fundraiser to support the Campaign – you can “Join as an Individual” or “Create a Team” directly on the Campaign webpage
  • Making a donation

The Campaign webpage is now open. You can find it here: https://www.autismservices.ca/how-you-can-help/sponsor-a-child/ Use this link to direct people to the webpage and to share on social media. The site tracks donations in ‘real time’ and as people donate we’ll be able to see the progress bar go up. We’re excited to see the support we’ve already received. Help us keep the momentum going!

See below for a copy of the Campaign poster along with a social media image that can be used to promote the Campaign. If you have any questions or need more information, don’t hesitate to contact Carol Tebay, Development Coordinator, at carol.tebay@autismservices.ca or 306-241-2308.

October is Autism Awareness Month in Canada. Celebrate the month and help autistic children and youth. Your support ensures they continue to have the support they need to “do well”.
