People do not grow out of autism. Autism is a lifelong disorder; however, the manifestation of symptoms may change over time. While there is yet no known cure, autism is definitely treatable.
Summer Adventure Day camp (Ages 7 – 19 years)
* You may register for 1 week of camp total. Participants are not eligible for both Fun in the City and Summer Adventure day camps.*
Day Camp Hours: 8:45 AM – 3:15 PM
Location: James Alexander School
Cost: $450 / $360* short week

- July 25- 29 (M – F)
- Aug 2 – 5 (*T – F)
Description: This day camp is designed for participants who are diagnosed with ASD, who require high levels of staff support such as personal care, mobility, feeding & dressing assistance (1‐2 staff : 1 child) to ensure safety within the program and the community. The program will offer games and activities along with an emphasis on language and communication skills, social skill development, decrease of problem behaviors and incidental learning, which are all therapeutic elements to enrich the livelihood of our participants. We will also utilize Positive Reinforcement strategies in a natural setting. Campers will be transported daily by staff. Some of the activities include: day trips to Pike Lake with a BBQ, Walter Lane, Forestry Farm and more! All registrations will be reviewed to ensure a proper fit between program and participant.
