Approximately 50% of all savants have autism, while only about five to ten percent of individuals with autism possess extraordinary savant skills.
Fun in the City Day camp (Ages 7 – 19 years)
* You may register for 1 week of camp total. Participants are not eligible for both Fun in the City and Summer Adventure day camps.*

Description: This day camp is designed for participants who are diagnosed with ASD, who require lower levels of staff support (1 staff : 1‐2 children). Autism Services ensures that all clients participate safely and successfully during community activities. The program will offer games and activities along with an emphasis on language and communication skills, social skill development, decrease of problem behaviors and incidental learning, which are all therapeutic elements to enrich the livelihood of our participants. We will also utilize Positive Reinforcement strategies in a natural setting. Pack a lunch, snacks, water and come hang out with us for the week! Some of these activities include trips to Pike Lake with a BBQ, APEX, Clip ‘n Climb, Stocked Centre and more! All registrations will be reviewed to ensure a proper fit between program and participant.
