Individually designed programs best meet the needs of a person with autism. Those with autism should be learning, living and working in settings where there is ample opportunity to communicate and interact with others who have the skills they lack.
Teen Club give teens with Aspergers or high-functioning autism a place to “hang out with their peers” while promoting friendship skills and social opportunities in a supported recreational setting. Activities include swimming nights, movie and game nights, outings to Fuddruckers, and many other activities. The first night takes place at the Autism Services office where participants share pizza and video games.
Note: individuals in this program is staffed at a 2-to-1 client-to-staff ratio.
