Individually designed programs best meet the needs of a person with autism. Those with autism should be learning, living and working in settings where there is ample opportunity to communicate and interact with others who have the skills they lack.

Talking and Playing Together

This is an interactive group for children aged 6-10 who use alternative communication. Examples of this include PECS and/or IPad. The focus of the group will be on developing  social and communication skills with peers, or on playing together and talking together. Specific communication skills addressed will include: greetings; asking to play; asking questions and answering questions. A screening process will take place at the first group start date and at the first group on the 20th of January.
