Individually designed programs best meet the needs of a person with autism. Those with autism should be learning, living and working in settings where there is ample opportunity to communicate and interact with others who have the skills they lack.

Structured Swim Lessons

Autism Services has joined with the YMCA to offer swimming opportunities to children and teens with ASD. We will be teaching YMCA Swim Levels which differ in name but are equivalent to Red Cross lessons.  Participants in this program should be able to participate in and follow directions within a structured lesson. Participants will be grouped with a swimming instructor and supported by Autism Services program workers.

Three different swim times are available, with participants grouped by age.
