Circle of Friends: Activity Based Social Skills Workshops
The goal of this activity-based social skills group is to improve each child’s self-awareness and self-esteem, to develop communication skills that help girls on the spectrum to relate with others, to establish and maintain friendships, to understand the feelings of tohers, to interpret non-verbal communication; facial expression, eye contact and body language, to deal with bullies, cyber bullies, peer pressure etc. through a variety of art and craft activities and group projects.
All group participants have individual strengths and challenges. By working together on art and craft activities, projects and circle time friendship and self-esteem building activities they will learn from each other, build stronger relationships within the group and make friends.
