Individually designed programs best meet the needs of a person with autism. Those with autism should be learning, living and working in settings where there is ample opportunity to communicate and interact with others who have the skills they lack.
This month the MHWT has been busy planning for a variety of community training presentations which will be taking place this month and over the coming months. We are continuing to reach out and connect with new clients who are interested in accessing counselling, funding support and advocacy. We also received a number of new referrals this month. The MHWT had the opportunity to attend a virtual training on sexual health and autism, and we are looking forward to implementing the information learned with our clients. We had many families sign up for our ASD Information Session which is scheduled for July 8th. We are still accepting participants for this session.
