Individually designed programs best meet the needs of a person with autism. Those with autism should be learning, living and working in settings where there is ample opportunity to communicate and interact with others who have the skills they lack.
Family Programs
The Family Programs department is close to completing a successful Winter 2021 block of programming. We had to adjust each program specific to the venue’s respective COVID protocols but our staff, parents and participants adapted so well! Our numbers were lower than usual due to capacity issues beyond our control but every program was completely full within our parameters.
This Winter season also brought us successful grant applications from the Our Lady of the Prairie Foundation, Harold Latrace Foundation and the City of Saskatoon SK Lotteries program! These donors are paramount to Family Programs’ overall success and we appreciate every dollar put towards the cause!
All in all, Family Programs continues to thrive and adapt. We are busily preparing for another block of Spring programming. Until next time!
