People do not grow out of autism. Autism is a lifelong disorder; however, the manifestation of symptoms may change over time. While there is yet no known cure, autism is definitely treatable.
Celebrate Autism!
Over the next few months, we’ll be celebrating the campers from our Summer Day Camps, and sharing the feedback we’ve received from our parents.
Today, we’re celebrating Adam!
Adam’s mother writes:
“Adam had such a blast at the program! Truly, he was so excited to get out of the car everyday. [His worker] was so sweet and gentle with him and her demeanor was so amiable to Adam. Adam is a very affectionate boy and he loves when people tickle or hug him and she was so understanding of that. Plus, I think it really appealed to him that learning took place via a fun/play-oriented setting because he learns so well through play. Generally, it was a very pleasant experience for him! I would sign up for it again in a heartbeat!”
