Celebrate Autism!
This is Trystan! He’s our champion for the Sponsor-a-Child Campaign this month. Autistic kids like Trystan need extra support to “do well”. As Dr. Ross Greene says, “Kids do well if they can.” Trystan has been attending our summer day camps, which have been like practice for the real world. The camp workers have been there as guides to navigate social situations and to build confidence. As a result, Trystan is better equipped to “do well” for things like birthday parties, school field trips, and outings with his family. With this sense of empowerment, Trystan is thriving and having fun. We love having Trystan a part of our day camps!
