Autism is not caused by a lack of love, and it is not cured by punishment. Parents need support to manage difficult behaviours with structure and consistency.

Parker is a fun, exciting boy, who is loving and humorous in his own way. He loves activities, adventures, and new places. The phrase “constant motion” is a good description for him. Parker attended day camp for the first time this summer and he had a great time exploring all the new places! The staff people were enthusiastic and supportive, and helped to build his confidence. Because of his camp experience, Parker is now more active in other environments, where previously he was more hesitant. Parker’s father said it was nice to know Parker was in good hands and he is happy for the opportunity that our day camps and recreational programs provide for Parker to grow and thrive.
