Individually designed programs best meet the needs of a person with autism. Those with autism should be learning, living and working in settings where there is ample opportunity to communicate and interact with others who have the skills they lack.
Adult Support Programs (ASP)
Day to day life in our Adult Support Programs has been status quo over the last month. Everyone has gradually been increasing activity, and have enjoyed a number of weekly events put on by our staff. We’ve been getting re-acquainted by getting together for Zumba, Plant Pot decorating, Bingo and more! Summer is just around the corner, and we are all looking forward to getting out as much as possible.
I want to congratulate three of our managers who have completed additional leadership training over the last year. Caitlin Stickney graduated from Leadership Saskatoon at the end of May, Guri Osahan graduated from Management Skills Development (LEAP) Program which is a course through Saskatchewan Association for Rehabilitation Centres (SARC), and Jenny Besenski completed the Edwards School of Business Leadership Development Program last fall. I am honored to work with these excellent and knowledgeable managers who have years of collective experience to bring to our programs.
