Individually designed programs best meet the needs of a person with autism. Those with autism should be learning, living and working in settings where there is ample opportunity to communicate and interact with others who have the skills they lack.
Autism Intervention Program (AIP)
This month, we saw the end of one block of service of one-to-one sessions and we began prepping for another. We were very excited to prepare for and begin small in-person groups again; we are running play groups and self-regulation groups! The clients seem to be enjoying it so far and it’s been great to help facilitate some social interaction with among peers again. We also posted for some term positions available in AIP and began interviewing potential candidates. We are hoping to have another SLP and Behaviour Therapist join us to continue supporting our ever-growing caseload. Finally, we have started planning for groups in the fall, which will be delivered both virtually and in-person. Watch for information about our fall registration launch in August!
