Individually designed programs best meet the needs of a person with autism. Those with autism should be learning, living and working in settings where there is ample opportunity to communicate and interact with others who have the skills they lack.
Autism Intervention Program (AIP)
It has been a very busy month for AIP! 13 families completed our Parent Management Training program for caregivers of children aged 0-5 years and we are just finishing up with the in-person play and self-regulation groups we offered this summer! The return of our in-person groups was successful and it was wonderful to see the progress in social skill development that we saw, as we know some of our clients haven’t been in a group of their peers for a very long time. Fall registration has launched and we are excited about all of the program offerings available for our clients and their families! We’re also looking forward to our new Behaviour Therapist, Kristin, joining our team at the end of the month!
