Individually designed programs best meet the needs of a person with autism. Those with autism should be learning, living and working in settings where there is ample opportunity to communicate and interact with others who have the skills they lack.
GATSBY NIGHT FOR AUTISM
September 29, 2023 @ 7:00 pm – 11:30 pm
Gatsby Night for Autism will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 at 7pm on Boom Town at the Western Development Museum. We’re coming together in person at our 1920’s Speakeasy set on Boom Town at the Western Development Museum. It’s a fun and lively event with a play casino, Jail ‘n Bail, silent auction, Toon Town Big Band, appetizers, and more.
Gatsby Night raises money for our Family Programs. These programs support autistic children and youth by offering specialized recreational activities and therapeutic programs (which they couldn’t access in typical settings). They provide “real-world” experience for autistic individuals to build social skills and develop peer relationships. Additional staff supports help them learn to navigate and succeed in settings that could be challenging for them, which helps build their confidence and capacity. By purchasing a ticket you will be supporting these children and youth.
We’re looking for sponsors to support this amazing event.
