January Topic: The Holidays – what worked and what didn’t

ESP (Empowerment & Educational Support for Parents) is designed to get caregivers together to provide information on subjects that are important to our parents, including new technology, funding for parents/families, care for the caregiver, grants, respite, and much more. This group will also incorporate some time to socialize & mingle with other caregivers to network, share ideas and support each other. Please let us know a minimum of 5 days in advance if you will require childcare while you attend.

We are pleased to host a wills information night as follow up to our November information night. We have expanded the evening to a 2 1/2 hour session, beginning at 6:30 PM. This event is offered to our members. Please note childcare will not be provided for this event.

Brad Mitchell is a former Autism Services board member and a parent of a child with autism. Rylund currently serves on our Board. Both are familiar with autism and Autism Services.

Sensitive Santa

We are proud to, again, offer Sensitive Santa with Lawson Heights Mall. This will allow kids on the spectrum to see Santa in a quieter, after hours environment.

Times:  5:30 – 6:00  OR  6:00 – 6:30 pm

Lace up those skates and join us at the rink for one hour of fun family skating time, (3:00 – 4:00 PM)  complete with a visit from Santa and hot chocolate!

*No extra supervision is provided for children so please ensure that a responsible adult is attending the party with your child(ren).

**Please bring your own skates, helmets and protective gear as there are no rental skates available at the rink.

Glitter is a one-evening, three hour long, shopping, entertaining, food, and prize laden affair!

Entrance to the event is limited to a specific number of ticket holders who can only purchase their tickets from select, registered non-profit organizations with bases in Saskatoon and area – Autism Services is one of these non-profits.

Tickets are $10.00 each and 100% of the sales stay with the ticket seller’s non-profit organization.
