RESIDENTIAL GROUP HOMES
We
currently run 3 residential programs in the city of Saskatoon.
Funding to maintain the homes and provide a good quality of life for
the residents is provided by the Saskatchewan Government Department
of Social Services, Community Living Division.
Lennon Crescent
Residential Program
-
a residential setting for four adults with autism, all of whom are
involved in a vocational program in the community.
-
24-hour staff supervision aimed at teaching daily living skills,
facilitating participation in recreational activities in the
community, and individual program planning focusing on growth
towards independence.
Supported Apartment Program
-
A supported
living arrangement set up in the basement of the Lennon Crescent
home, which functions independently of the Residential Home operated
upstairs
-
Currently
supports 4 adult males with Autism who are able to function more
independently than the upstairs residents, but still require support
and guidance for successful daily living.
7th Street Residential Program
-
a residential setting for four young adults with
autism.
-
programming in the home, provided by way of 24-hour staff
supervision, is based on individual needs and focuses on basic
living skills and social interaction, as well as involvement in
recreational activities in the community.

primary focus
is on preserving a
home-like atmosphere for the residents.
